Our face-to-face program is supported by self-study tools which are available online through our English app which help you study anywhere anytime!

TO HELP YOU pathway to UNIVERSITY WE HAVE WORKED WITH A range of universities and institutions TO ENSURE OUR COURSES ARE RECOGNISED.*
AE is offered in 6 levels. To ensure you enter at the level that suits your abilities we provide an English skills assessment prior to enrolment. We then provide counselling to ensure that you leave UIG with the English skills that meet your study or career goals.
Level 1 provides an outcome benchmarked to IELTS 4.5
Topics: Our World, Lifestyle and EventsIntroduces you to Academic English with a focus on key language structures and basic writing skills for organisation and development.
Level 2 provides an outcome benchmarked to IELTS 5
Topics: People and SocietyDevelops more complex academic abilities to give you tools for paragraph-writing, academic discussions, academic reading and listening tasks.
Level 3 provides entry to UTS Foundation Studies and programs with an IELTS 5.5 requirement*
Topics: Business and Globalised WorldTeaches advanced academic language and concepts for real-world work and university tasks such as data analysis and reports, research-based essays, presentations and tutorial discussions.
Completion of AE3 will allow you to start Foundation Studies without an IELTS score.*
Level 4 provides entry to UTS Insearch Diplomas and programs with an IELTS 6 entry requirement*
Topics: Internet Society and CitiesDevelops the ability to understand and summarise written content and develops confidence in researching and writing essays and reports. Teaches presentation skills and the ability to confidently participate in tutorials.
Completion of AE4 will allow you to start a Diploma or other program with one of the Universities that recognise our programs without an IELTS score.*
Level 5 provides entry to UTS and other universities degrees with an IELTS 6.5 requirement*
Topics: Organisations and LeadershipFocuses on the ability to research and understand written information from a range of academic texts and writing essays or reports suitable for year 1 university submission.
Completion of AE5 will allow you to start a Bachelor’s degree or Masters by course work with one of the Universities that recognise our programs without an IELTS score.*
Level 6 provides entry to UTS and other university degrees with an IELTS 7 requirement
Topics: Sustainability and GlobalisationProvides advanced English language skills to enable students to function independently and succeed in a university degree which requires a high level of English.
Completion of AE 6 will allow you to start a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s (coursework) degree with one of the Universities that recognise our programs without an IELTS score.*
